An asphalt architectural shingle roof replacement typically runs $650 to $890 per square in Colorado Springs, $700 to $1,000 in Denver and about $670 to $880 in Austin. A square is 100 square feet of roof. Enter your home's size below to turn that into a dollar range for your roof.
Estimate Your Roof
Ballpark only, not a quote or offer. Your exact price requires an on-site inspection and a measurement report. Insurance claims are priced from your carrier's scope.
How the estimate works
The calculator turns your living area into an approximate roof size, then applies the per-square range for your area.
- Footprint: living area divided by the number of stories.
- Slope: multiplied by 1.05 for a low roof, 1.15 for medium or 1.3 for steep, because a sloped roof has more surface than the floor below it.
- Waste: multiplied by 1.1 for cuts, starter and ridge.
- Squares: divided by 100, then multiplied by the low and high price per square and rounded to the nearest $500.
The ranges come from Integrity's signed replacement jobs with measurement reports over the last three years: 438 jobs in Colorado Springs (median $750 per square), 72 in Denver (median about $790) and 7 in Austin. Data as of Oct 2026.
What moves your price inside the range
- Roof shape: valleys, hips, dormers and skylights add labor and flashing that living area alone cannot show.
- Overhangs and garages: a large attached garage or deep eaves add roof that is not in your living area.
- What comes off: the number of old layers and the condition of the decking underneath.
- Shingle line and impact rating: the product you choose, including Class 4 impact-resistant shingles.
- Local code: ice barrier, ventilation and permit requirements differ by city.
- Insurance: on a claim, the price is set from your carrier's scope, not from this calculator.

Roof Cost Calculator Questions
Is the calculator result a price you will hold to?
No. It is a ballpark only, not a quote or offer. Your exact price comes from an on-site inspection and a measurement report of your actual roof, which we provide free.
Why does the calculator divide my living area by the number of stories?
A two-story home stacks its living space, so its roof covers roughly half the floor area of a one-story home with the same square footage. Dividing by stories approximates the footprint the roof has to cover before slope and waste are added.
Why does the calculator show no price for metal, tile or stone-coated steel?
We have not published ranges for those materials. Their price depends heavily on the profile, the roof shape and the trim details, so we price them after an inspection instead of guessing.
Why is the Austin result marked as limited local data?
The Austin range comes from 7 signed jobs, far fewer than Colorado Springs or Denver. Treat it as a rough guide with wider uncertainty until more Austin jobs are in the data.
Do I have to share my email or phone number to see the calculator result?
No. The range shows on the page as soon as you press the button. You only share contact details if you choose to book the free inspection for an exact price.
