How do I know if I have hail damage to my roof?
There are a few ways to tell if you might have hail damage on your roof:
- Your shingles look bruised and/or have small craters on the surface.
- You see crushed granules where the hailstones impacted your roof.
- Your neighbors are having their roof replaced after a hailstorm.
- Your window screens, siding, skylights, or car was damaged during a hailstorm.
- There are large amounts of granules in your gutters.
How does the roof inspection process work?
Most of the time, evidence of a hail storm can be seen from the ground. Our team will inspect window screens, window beading, siding, gutters, oxidized metal surfaces, fences, sidewalks, and mailboxes…all before we even check the roof. If we find any collateral damage at the ground level, then it’s likely your roof has damage, too. If there is no damage on the ground, it’s still possible you have roof damage and we will then do a rooftop examination to determine if there has been any storm damage on your roof.
